Sat 19th SSG reports

Weather wise it wasn’t great but that didn’t spoil the entertainment for our Small sided teams today.
Great turn out again for academy with 19 up even with bad weather , during the session they showed off their new bibs sponsored by Bangor/Greenhills Greenpark and PTSB .
The u8’s all did great again ….. improving each week and this is only their 5th game . Over 30 goals between both sides (Greenhils & Beechwood) with GBFC making a great account of themselves  …..
U10D were involved in a 7 goal thriller away to Clontarf. Despite the poor conditions some really good football was played in a great battle.
U10E1 continued their progress at home to a very good AFC Belgrave side. The lads have made super progress over the first 5 games and hopefully the improvement continues throughout the season.
(Under 8 players leads the charge)

Saturday reports on Small sided games

A good days football today as our U8s & U10s took part in the latest round of games.

Our U8s were away to St Peters (from Bray). All the mini games were well contested and the games ended all square (2 wins each). The U8s who are playing in their first season have taken to the non-competitive league very well and are improving every week. Keep going lads.

Our two U10 teams were involved in games that had goals galore. Our U10D came out on top in high tempo game with Castleknock Celtic in Greenhills Park. In the other fixture our U10E1 travelled to Bray to take on Ardmore Rovers and as with our U10Ds they came out on top in a great game of football. Well done to all the children from both sets of teams as a total of 21 goals were scored in the 2 games. Move on to training this week and prepare for next weeks games.

Our academy had another great morning this week with 30 children taking part in the fun and games. These numbers are great considering we lost 16 of the academy to league football with our current U8s team. Well done to everyone involved from the academy up to U10s on a very successful day. Our academy caters for children from 4-7 yrs every Saturday morning from 10.30am (€3 per session). All new players welcome.
